Oolong Tees: Real T-shirts by Real Artists
T-shirt as an artist’s unique wearable showcase, that’s perhaps Patrick Kadel philosophy when started Oolong Tees Inc (oolongtees.com). His attempt is to support artists locally and globally as Oolong tees provides unique T-shirt collections in the world you can wear comfortably even after 10 years (He believes Oolong screened image on super soft shirt can do that!). Patrick tells us his vision of Oolong tees during interview with Imulus.com:
“I wanted to elevate the type of shirt I was seeing out there on the street,” says Kadel. “There is so much talent in our artistic communities, I wanted to give consumers a unique product and help these artists continue to do what they do best, create. And to do that I needed a technology partner who would understand and share my vision.”(Imulus.com 6/1/2006)

Artist R.B Morris III (www.rbmorrisiii.com) has unique profile (at least that what we think), he doesn’t use the latest gadget (cellphone or iPod), and keeps all of his money tucked in a book. Yet his artwork can be found on gallery walls, skateboards, t-shirts, buildings and just about anywhere else he can. His design for Oolong tees are Turtle (image on the right) and Elephant. For Turtle, Morris comment is “The female form, abstract, not even sure you can see it”. Only available for women, this cap-sleeve tee sold for $20.00. Link
