Let keep this as our little secret... I've been a new fan of Shojo no Tomo for couple of weeks. I firstly found her art work (on a printed T-shirt) on Tokyo Made website. Tokyo Made, being so-called open window to a Tokyo Shopping adventure, brings lots of goodies from some of the most talented Tokyo and Japan-based creators -- and that includes T-shirts and collectibles by Shojo no Tomo.
Back to Shojo no Tomo; the Japan-Fashion.com caught her as independent freelance illustrator since 1990, bringing up art works that mostly inspired psychedelic culture of late 60' through superficial and pop psychedelic styles as well as action figures. Visual/graphics distortion and hallucinative colors combination are what make the most of these psychedelic art. Lately, she introduced her own mental "psychedelic" themes which were seen as an outlaw of Japanese illustration industry.
Shojo no Tomo's tees collection are available on Shojonotomo shop as well as Tokyo Made web shop

Hey Rangga,
We totally share your love for Shojono Tomo. We first saw her creations in a special display at the Kera Shop in Shinjuku, and became instant fans. When we got home without having bought any of her pieces we felt desperate to get my hands on some. We got in touch with her and met her soon after. She is a true creative spirit and has become a very supportive friend! The life and color she brings to her designs constantly inspires us, it reflects her adventurous life. She works SO hard!
Thanks for writing about her cool stuff and Tokyomade.
Wishes from Tokyo,
Masao and Deanne
Hey Masaon and Deanne, thanks for carrying her collection -- I've never seen something like her artworks before!
