Sharpshirter’s Next Level Humor
Sharpshirter is like a lot of t-shirt companies on the internet in that they use humor to create their designs. But what sets them apart from the pack is that they never stop at the joke- they keep going and make art with it instead of being satisfied with humor alone.
Haymaker is a great example of this philosophy at work. The artwork is spiced up with type and texture on the bear, which looks cool in addition to enforcing the idea that the bear is a bit of a rugged character. African Animal Alliance takes a different tactic on giving the funny idea some style- the animals seem to fade out in a pattern of leaves or tall grass, granting a very real environment to the piece.
I’m also impressed that the line of products offered so far is in line with this same theory of added value. In addition to shirts, some designs also grace dresses or laptop skins. I’m excited to see where they’re headed next.
