The fifth release on four three six represents more than ever the underlying values of the label – collaboration and discovery of hidden culture. The music for this release is brought to us by Visual Deception Unit, a new collaboration of producers who are no stranger to the bass music scene. After years of being label-mates Andy McAllister and Sasha Khan started working together on music, flexing the muscles of their production experience to create a four track EP that embraces dub, techno, grime and breaks.
Australian street artist Aeon is no stranger to collaboration, often teaming up with others to go on painting adventures. He has painted all over the world, from the streets of East London, to his home town of Melbourne, via Mexico, Argentina, India and countless other places. His signature bogan head, inspired by wrestlers and action movies of the 80s and 90s, pops up all over the place, and it was at the opening of his collaboration show with Egs and Nug at Fluorescent Smogg in Barcelona that four three six first made contact with him. Fast forward twelve month and Aeon has provided the artwork for the Incognito EP.
