An earthquake in Haiti earlier this year was the largest earthquake in 2010. Many victims died, or maybe victims who are still alive but lost family and possessions. Surely, they still need our help. Help doesn’t have to be home visits, you can help Haiti’s citizens by donating some of your money to them, by buying t-shirts from Haitees.

Love Is All I Need ($21.75) is one of many t-shirts that will help donate money to victims in Haiti through a portion of their profits. The tee explained that the donation to the victims of Haiti don’t have to go through the material, because all they need is Love. But hey! You can not only share the love, but you can also customize your own t-shirts, according to your style. Another nice tee is Helping ($ 21.75) that will remind you to continue to help them. Just give them a hand!

Haitees project was born out of a desire to do something constructive to aid Those worst hit by the devastating Earthquake That hit the island of Haiti in January 2010. The Red Cross are on their chosen charity to receive the donations from the Haitees project, as they feel the experience of Red Cross and a presence in the area, before the earthquake, made them the best equipped to use the money to help the people of Haiti. If you have much love, you won’t miss this precious moment.

What do you imagine if you read the word “art”? I would imagine something that is absurd, vague, and can’t be understood. This happened because I don’t know how to “see” an art. Until Deep Shirts come and explain about how to read an art through the design of their t-shirts, women’s shirts The Vision Of Art ($24.99). This t-shirt is a reminder to see art in a different angles and to look behind what is in front of us. We can’t translate an art just like that without seeing the other perspective. Good explanation!

Not only that, the Deep Shirts also reminds us of the meaning of a music. Music is not only an art, but it also has the healing power to relax and sooth the mind, body and spirit. That is reflected in women’s shirts Music Help ($ 24.99). Music can make our mind and soul more relax. In the other hand, music can be trusted with the development of baby’s brain perfectly. And obviously that everyone loves music, any kind of music.

Deep Shirts is a designer and t-shirts lover. They started deep t-shirts with the dream of creating a community and a company of people who love t-shirts with cool designs. Their wish was to create a great platform for up and coming designers who want their work published. Elements such as nature, artwork, thought-provoking subject matter and positive messages are the inspiration for our community.

Now art is no longer confusing.

While I’m more interested to blog about the outcome of the printing industry, the T-shirt itself, I can’t close my eyes from witnessing what’s happening in the industry. Set aside the gloomy economy outlook.

On the technology side, digital printing gives t-shirt printers and suppliers a flexibility to execute demands without having to face “minimum order” dilemmas, especially from retail customers who often order a single piece per order. Some of them — you’ve heard these big names: Cafepress, Spreadshirt and Zazzle — take this advantage by allowing people to re-sell its printing service and get hundreds (I don’t know… maybe thousands?) so-called instant-entrepreneurs who sell their T-shirts not only to friends and family, but also across the nation and overseas.

At the same time, e-commerce technology (read: internet with its “online shopping” feature) helps them to find customers and sell their services to customers at a much lower cost on both the customer and seller side by eliminating overhead — like shop’s rent. Don’t forget about printers that use on-demand online printing technology, like InkImprints.com, that allows customers to create their own custom t shirts. As easy as 1-2-3, simply upload your t shirt design or photos, then preview it… Once you got the right look, click the “purchase” button and pay it via credit card and your order ships in 24 hours.

Modern T-shirt printing companies like InkImprints.com combines the use of screen printing and “DTG” or Direct to Garment printing for its production. It uses traditional screen printing (which known to be the best printing method to date) to handle large quantity custom shirts while they house several direct to garment printers for small run orders that require full color prints with attention to detail. This is what all modern tee shirt printing companies suppose to achieve in term of efficient work-process. Want to hear its business model? No Minimums and Free Shipping on all orders no matter what size you want.

Question: Hi Rangga, me and my two friends are thinking of starting our very own clothing label. My friend is an art student and we plan to have her artwork to be printed on our organic T-shirts (our design theme is “save your environment!”). Do you have any suggestion where good screen printing service in London?

David, London

Answer: Well, I’m not very sure where exactly to find good screen printer in London — but you can try good people at Indigo Clothing who run t-shirt printing (screen printing) service in your city.

I’ve never used their service but what made me remember them at first, most probably, because of their T-shirt blog that I read sometime. It seems like they follow closely the trend in the industry and have a good sense of it. Their blog actually one of few T-shirt blog that inspired me when I first started Cottonable beside Preshrunk, Tcritic, etc.

Getting back to your printing need, I find their services are quite affordable for starter like you: screen printing price for 10+ pieces is £ 3.10 per items (currently on discount) with £ 0.35 for extra color; it even gets cheaper the more T-shirts you print. Screen print setup itself is charged at £20 per screen — prices excluding VAT.

And lucky you, because they offers a range of organic cotton clothing from a number of brands too! special organic tees I spotted offered are American Apparel (often used by small clothing label in US as well), EarthPositive, and some bamboo-made tee shirts.

Of course, this is just my recommendation based on what I see on their website (and their portfolio/clients list). You better call them or get instant quote. Let me know if when you launch your new tees.

Good luck!

*Get student cashback, discount 20% off using coupon code: “Cashback“. Limited period only!
