Here it goes another Indonesia-based clothing brand that makes me proud as it goes global. SKY International Clothing was started back in 2010 when making its T-Shirt line Debut at Metro Department Store Outlets across Indonesia. The concept of SKY was actually a brainchild of Designer (who prefer not to be mentioned here) from Los Angeles with a vision that the “Sky Is The Limit” when it comes to ideas, design and fashion. Some designs combine today’s and yesterday’s pop culture with illustrated characters like Pets of Paris and Hitler’s Demons, while the other range is helping you to get attention with creative words-play and jokes.

Each STBN SDBN T-shirt Gives Character a Purpose to Live

STUBBORN SIDEBURN is brain-child of Japanense artists, Junichi Tsuneoka, whose focal point is the distintive a style often recognized as “California Roll Stylie,” the result of both a visual and conceptual fusion of Japanese pop culture and American urban culture.

With intention to experiment and explore while giving his “characters” a purpose to live and creating a world for them, Mr Junichi Tsuneoka started STBN SDBN (short for STUBBORN SIDEBURN) just last year. As he told me, his illustration is more into character design driven and it is very good at getting instant attention from the audience.

STBN SDBN tees are all hand-crafted. It’s because Mr Junichi Tsuneoka designed his own neck label and sleeve tag sawn on the tee. Surprisingly, there are only make 24 shirts per design and one of them already worn by Mr Junichi Tsuneoka as he only produces T-shirt if he want to wear it himself.

When a Hand-painted Webcomic Gets Printed Over a T-shirt

We know that comic is everlasting. But have you ever imagine the hand-painted webcomic that turning into a tee design and get printed? I find it cute! It’s Frank Gibson as an illustrator and creator of Tiny Kitten Teeth which is updated at least three times a week. But he’s not alone. There’s also Becky Dreistadt as a creator, and they have been making comics together for 5 years. The main fellow in the comic, Mewsli, shares a name with their actual one-year old cat.
