WHO estimates that 25% of all deaths in the developing world are directly attributable to environmental factor. 1950-1960s American Pop-culture in D. Vicente’s View

David Vicente was born in 1968 in Southern France. This guy got a cool realistic vector style, but he also works mainly with the psychobilly aesthetic. He began his career by drawing monsters and other characters that were all rebels in their way with epic amount of details.

David Vicente’s illustrations are representation of American pop-culture from the 50′s and 60′s. B movies, pinball machines, Satan, Betty Boop, Johnny Cash, even sex and violence with scornful and flashy style. He takes us for a ride in a death proof car, pedal to the metal, with guitar riffs blasting on the radio and a gun in the glove box, travelling through decades from the 50′s into the 80′s. Believe me, you will get an eyeful of beautiful and strong women, or grimy men that gamble.

Learn the Chemistry with Wirdou T-shirts

Chemistry is a subject that requires a lot of time and works, everybody knows that. When I was in school, I was a little worried about math and science even if a lot of people believe that chemistry is the most fun subject yet in reality I found it to be most difficult subject in school.

I used to feel like a greatest scientist, then mix lemonade mixes (citric acid) and baking soda in “just the right” amounts, suddenly I can make a fizzy mix! Don’t forget about optimizing soap and water to be soap bubble. Yay, who doesn’t like soap bubble! But not all teachers can teach chemistry in fun way, so unfortunately (or fortunately?) — I didn’t choose chemistry as my major.

I Can’t See Anything I don’t Like About You

Nan Lawson’s illustrations are the kind of cute and funny that nobody can’t get enough of. She makes lean, round faced, blushing men and women who always appear to be mid-blink. They do look like “hipsters,” too.

What is most interesting is where she pulls cultural cues from, just like this illustration printed on tee shirt, “I can’t see anything I don’t like about you”. Not only does she pick the best characters to illustrate, but she renders them in the most delicate ways possible, the simplistic and sweet nature of her work. With beautiful work like this but revolves around trademarked pop culture references, it feels like a mix of anime and woodcut storybook illustration.

Marynn. Love Her (Works)

Marynn is an amazingly talented 21 old creative graphic design student at VCU, living in Nantes, France. Guided by her search for realism, her illustrative comings and goings are inspired by street style and fashion magazines with touch on the romantic side of traditional portraiture, hints of text work and appealing hues.

Green Fairies on Your T-shirt

“La fée verte”, or the green fairy, is nickname given to absinthe, an anise-flavoured spirit derived from botanicals, including the flowers and leaves of Artemisia absinthium (grand wormwood), together with green anise, sweet fennel, and other medicinal and culinary herbs, in french.

But Green Fairy isn’t just another name for absinthe, she is a metaphor for the presentation of complex ideas in poetic form of new ideas, of a changing social order. A powerful symbol of the avant-garde elite that gathered in Parisian cafes at the turn of the last two centuries.
