Woody Woodpecker was a brash, high-strung woodpecker whose trademark was his staccato laugh, “ha-ha-ha-HA-ha”. The character first appeared in the 1940 and his theme song was introduced in 1947 and was nominated for an Oscar for best song, the only song from a short film ever to be nominated in the category. Woody was by far the most politically incorrect and audacious character of his time. In an era when cartoons were trying to promote a positive message or somehow prove educational, Woody was breaking taboos left and right. While other cartoons were trying to do the right thing, Woody was joking, fighting, stealing, and antagonizing.
Woody is no-doubt legendary, that’s why, Illumination Entertainment, the Universal-based animation house behind Despicable Me and The Lorax, is working on a feature project centering on the venerable and precociously noisy bird. Woody Woodpecker could be heading to the big screen for the first time in decades. Celebrate it with wearing this shirt on premiere time!
No, I know is not Friday yet!
Tomorrow is Monday, where we maybe have absolutely no constructive ideas to share at a brainstorming meeting on morning. And Fridays are the beeeessssst! Especially for the vast majority of American office workers, the best thing about their work week happens at 5 p.m. on Friday, when they can peace out of the office. If you have Friday Person co-worker, you can use this shirt to annoys them because they generally begins to look forward to Friday on Monday when they arrive at work, to remind them, “is it Friday yet?“
There is quote from Pride and Prejudice which I love the most: “I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! — When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.” I guess that because the line is representing about my dream. And that’s why I like this design, Elizabeth Bennet covered by “God save the dream” on her eyes. So retro, so classical but also so chic!

The guys at Funky Koreatown spend a lot of time creating bold & colorful designs related to Korean humor, pride and food.
For instance, there’s Got Bulgogi? tee ($18.69 — discount price) which taken from the word “Bulgogi” (or Fire Meat in English); It is a way of cooking beef marinaded in soy sauce, sugar and other ingredients traditionally over an open flame. Another tee that I really like is this tee with “bibimbap” design ($18.69 — discount price). Funky Koreantown was inspired by by the colorful ingredients of this staple Korean comfort food… full of rice in a steaming hot stone bowl, with veggies & ground beef on top!
