If you’re a fan of typography or simple designs on t-shirts, then Make Believe‘s newest line should make you a very happy camper. Now I am not one who particularly cares for shirts with logos and brand names plastered on them, but in the case of Make Believe, I don’t see a big brand advertisement when I look at a design of theirs. Seeing the words “make believe” on the designs actually helps add more of a meaning to them.
Just as a little background on the brand, Make Believe is a company that offers classically influenced clothing, pulling inspiration from the 1950s. Their first line was overall much more patriotic and had an Americana aesthetic, but the simplicity element was definitely also present. What is appealing about Make Believe is how they have so many amazing simple designs that keep you yearning to see more and more from the brand. Most of their products are and have been one color prints, so it goes to show how a high color count isn’t what makes a design good.
Take a look around their new storefront, check out the winter line, and get familiar with this relatively new clothing brand. All t-shirts have been marked down to $20 until the end of the year.
Milk & Eggs Co. recently dropped a batch of five new tees, and they are all just lovely! What I have always loved about Milk & Eggs is how they manage to make so many awesome simplistic designs. The designs have ranged between one to three colors, and the new shirts follow suit.
One of my favorite designs from the new line is 3D Eyes ($20). I don’t know what it is about the illustration, but I can say that it lures me in. It looks like the person behind the 3D glasses is entranced by whatever movie it is that he/she is watching. The shirt has captured my attention as much as the movie has captured this audience member’s attention.
Another new design that I’m a fan of is Lion Pride ($20). This is, hands down, the most unique lion shirt that I’ve seen. I’ll admit that I needed the title for me to realize that it’s a lion, but now that I know, I love it! It’s also just so cute!
Head on over to the Milk and Eggs Co. shop to see all the new products. If you’ve been a fan of this brand, you definitely won’t be disappointed!
The Ropeadope Design Collective has recently released its second t-shirt series and this new set doesn’t disappoint! If you aren’t familiar with Ropeadope, it’s a record label based in Philadelphia, PA. Earlier this year, Ropeadope entered into the world of art t-shirts, releasing tees by designers like Wotto and Tang Yau Hoong. Wotto is back for this new Winter 2010 collection, but this time, there are plenty of fresh faces! The new lineup includes artwork from YemaYema, David Murray/SEIBEI, BootsBoots, Qetza, Harry Gordon, and Mike Friedrich.
Like the past line, only some of the new Ropeadope Design Collective t-shirts are music-related. I kind of wish that they all had something to do with music, being linked with a record label and all, but that’s just my opinion. I personally love the Discowl shirt, both because of the design itself and the colors. The green details really pop out against the purple background. Besides, where else are you going to find a three-eyed owl who enjoys electronic music?
Head over to the Ropeadope Design Collective shop to check out the new series of tees today! These new designs are currently on pre-order for $24 each and will be shipping out on the week of December 13.
What’s on your mind when you hear the word “origami“? Me, in my mind, origami is a folded paper, animals, cute, and of course, Japan! But what will happen when origami stick to a T-shirt?
This is it, Baij, a month old t-shirt and tank top joint that offers a cosmic blend of artistic expressions intertwined with a fiestiness for fine designs printed on quality shirts manufactured in Los Angeles. Baij has a very unique design in their shirt, the Origami.

Or take a look at the Origami Butterfly Tee ($55 / €40). Butterfly is a beautiful animal, so everyone loved it. But have you ever seen an origami butterfly? It is as beautiful as the real one! And when origami butterfly is attached to your tee, you’ll look as cute as a butterfly. This tee is made from Poly-Cotton (50% Polyester / 50% Combed-Cotton) heather black tee with a sketch of an origami butterfly. So this is a slim-fitting tee.
Hey, Baij not only provides these two origami tees! It offers you a-non-origami themed as well. The Westcoast Tee ($ 55 / € 40), a white fine jersey tee with a 3-D Westcoast sign intertwined with a high-five.

Although the tragic events in Haiti are no longer fresh in people’s minds, UK artist Uberkraaft (Matt Williams) believes that the country’s needs should still be in our thoughts. Because of this, he has created a limited edition design for Tilteed where a portion of the profits will be donated to Hope for Haiti. For each copy of Old Skuul Kuul ($12) sold, $4 will be going to Hope for Haiti.
This is what Uberkraaft has to say about why he chose this organization:
“Firstly, there’s a natural tendency with terrible disasters like those that have hit Haiti to drop out of people’s consciousness as soon as the initial shock is over. Haiti seems to be a particularly neglected country in terms of aid & support from the international community, disaster or no disaster, and to be completely blunt it kind of disgusts me. Because they have little in the way of produce & commodities that interest us, we appear to think it’s ok to neglect & ignore what’s going on. I’m not expecting the sale of some tees to make a huge difference, but in a small way I wanted to remind at least a few people that the problems haven’t just gone away.”
Head on over to Tilteed to get your copy of Old Skuul Kuul for $12. Not bad for a cool shirt for a great cause! It’ll only be available until Noon Pacific Time on Thursday, November 25, so act fast!
Do you need more t-shirts in your wardrobe? Have you been itching for a big sale in the t-shirt world? If the answer is yes to either question, then you’re in luck because Design By Humans is having its Holiday Sale right now! All t-shirts have been marked down to $12 until December 5, 2010. Yes, that even includes the newest daily additions to the shop and all of the DBH 10k winners!
One of the newer designs that I especially like is a piece by Scarlett Veith called Attack of the Robot! Everything in this design just works. The turquoise background is a perfect contrast for the robot and its red details. Not only are there airplanes trying to take this big piece of metal down, but there’s also a blimp shooting lasers at it. I never thought of blimps as vehicles of destruction, but if it works, then I’m all for it!
Something else that I find to be quite interesting is that I don’t see any signs of destruction in the city. Perhaps this is a friendly robot who just so happens to be twice the height of skyscrapers, a robot who is clearly being misunderstood by the humans who are trying to bring it down. What do you think is going on?
The Design By Humans $12 Holiday Sale ends on December 5th, so pick up Attack of the Robot! and other fantastic designs today! As always, you get free shipping on all orders over $70.
Do you ever feel the need to hit the dance floor and let loose? If you do, then you’re going to need an eye-catching top to wear while you’re getting your groove on. And if you’re not the type of person who gets these types of urges, then the current Tilteed shirt may help to spark that desire. Without further ado, I present to you the biggest party animal to strike Tilteed.
Lion About Your Age ($12) is the first Tilteed Limited design by artist Sean Naylor (aka DCAY). If you’ve heard that name before, then you’ve probably seen his contest winning design called Sweet Child O’mine ($18). As you can see, this limited edition design is very different in composition than the catalog piece (and also much brighter!). It just goes to show how versatile of an artist DCAY is. I mean, this lion is wearing hipster glasses and is surrounded by neon colors. That definitely takes skill to pull off! So whether you’re ready for a fun night out or just want to add to your vibrant wardrobe, this lion is roaring out your name.
Lion About Your Age is available in at Tilteed until Noon Pacific Time tomorrow (Tuesday, November 16). Don’t let this cool cat pass you by!
If you happen to be someone who is fascinated by the many styles of facial hair, then you have most likely already heard of a company called Fuzzy Ink. Fuzzy Ink is a brand that offers a wide variety of beard- and mustache-related designs that are loveable even if you yourself do not have any facial hair. One of the newer designs that I particularly enjoy looking at is called A Winged Welcoming ($21).
As if this gentleman weren’t classy enough with his fancy attire, monocle, and cane, he even has two birds carrying the ends of his lengthy mustache. He sure makes quite an entrance even while strolling through the park. Can you imagine if you saw this in real life? I’m not even sure if I would have any words, but that’s okay because it would be a magical event that I would never see again. Talking would just ruin it.
A Winged Welcoming is available in both men‘s and women‘s cuts at Fuzzy Ink. This is one of the four designs created specifically for the Movember Foundation, and $5 of each sale is being donated to the cause in order to raise awareness for men’s health. There’s also a print version of this design if you happen to want the same design to hang on your wall!
Hey you designers and illustrators! Have you found some t-shirt stores that understand your needs and dreams? No? Oh, you have to be excited now because there is a clothing store that understands your needs in an awesome way. There you go, Bananastees, A brand new fashion store selling some tees with unique and simple design.
Check this Make Ideas Real Tee out (£15.00). You must have realized how unique the design of this tee. I’m sure you often experiencing the moment where ideas came suddenly without can be restrained and you don’t know what to do. Pen is the answer. When the ideas come, that will be better if you write it down on a piece of paper, with the help of pen. By writing it down on a paper, that pen will help you to realize your ideas. This tee is made from 100% cotton and…. banana!
Bananastees is the new project from illustrator, designer and t-shirt fanatic Dale Edwin Murray. Having spent years designing t-shirts for clothing companies, bands and major retailers and with a bundle of t-shirt competition wins under his belt, Dale decided the time was right to build something for himself.
Tha name Bananastees is inspired by bananaman, a British comic book fictional character drawned by John Geering. At that time, dale had a bad day and then draw a banana while eatiing lunch. That banana had become his instantly recognizable online avatar for years and Bananastees was born!
Bananastees is not about trends, memes or fashion. Simply put, bananastees is the place for Dale to print the tees that he likes and sell them to people that like them too. Instead of themed ranges and rigid styles, bananastees will be an eclectic collection with new tees being released sporadically. This is a very nice and sweet of banana!
Have you ever played Mind Games? Mind Games is quite awesome actually. There are several benefits of playing mind games, such as develop good planning, helps to increase motivation level, and promotes thinking. For all those benefits, mind game is free!
One of types of mind games is Relationship Mind Games which are played by innocent people who have very little idea how they continually find themselves in such dramas. There are several types of games in mind these games, such as “If It Weren’t For You…” (IWFY) and “See what you made me do…” (SWYMD).
In a relationship mind game of IWFY a generally insecure or passive person subconsciously chooses a domineering partner who restricts her/his activities, usually the female partner is the one restricted. By staying unaware of his or her part in the game, through the use of repression or suppression, the player’s complaints of “If it weren’t for you…” keeps her partner feeling uneasy and gives the player various advantages in the relationship.
In a mild form of the relationship mind game of SWYMD the player, feeling unsociable, becomes engrossed in some activity which tends to insulate him/her from people. In a more intense form SWYMD can become a way of life rather than merely a protective mechanism. The player may spend more and more time engrossed in work or an activity rather than relating with her/his family.
To show the love for Relationship MindGames, VintageVantage has just released their new collection, Let’s Play Mind Games (men- $6.50, women-$ 5.00). Created only for Mind Games players, this tee might help you find other persons in the street who like to play such games — and so your future opponents!
What music do you listen? Rock? Metal? Or rap music? We know that fans of rock music, metal or rap has their own “place” than fans of other genres of music. One of the differences is in the clothes they wore that support the appearance of their daily lives. Rock / metal music enthusiasts are usually have an eccentric-looking : all black. They wear a skull, tribal, gun, gothic, or even sick designs. We can easily find that type of tee, but the motive as it usually looks similar.
But this won’t happen with SkyGraphx tee who try to create something different. Look at this Shamrock T ($18.00), which has a unique skull design. It combines eight skulls into a bright green color for-leaf shamrock. Of course we remember a myth that if we can get a four-leaf clover, we will be lucky. And rock / metal lovers can be lucky by wearing this shirt. The combination of shamrock and skull make this tee has a cool appearance. This tee is printed on 100% black cotton shirt.
And hey! Not only men who can wear a “fierce” shirt. Women can also wear it because SkyGraphx provides it! Girl’s Liberty Tank ($10.00 – ON SALE!) is the proof. This sexy pink camouflage tank specially printed for the female fans of rock / metal music. This tee designed the Statue of Liberty and the gun surrounds it. The tee is addressed to U.S. authorities who often use violence, whereas we all know that the Statue of Liberty has the meaning of independence and freedom from pressure. So it is also desired by the female fans of rock music. This tee is printed on 100% cotton shirts as well.
If you want to be a unique rocker, go grab the tee. Order today to get the free shipping!
Like artist YemaYema, I’ve always wanted to learn to skateboard. Something about cruising down the street, standing on a sweet deck sounds rather appealing to me. It’s even cooler if you have a great design on your deck. I will learn someday. It will happen! But enough about me, let’s talk about this design.
Skateboard Boy ($12) is a new Tilteed Limited design by YemaYema that shows a skateboarder having a great time riding through town and getting some big air. He even has his ghost friends right there with him, with one helping him out with his tricks. And it wouldn’t be as fun if there weren’t any energizing music for him to skate to, so he’s definitely prepared with that boombox. What do you think they’re all listening to?
This is the first shirt in months to be printed on mint at Tilteed, and I’m glad because it fits the illustration perfectly. A design like this definitely calls for a bold shirt color, and mint is one of the most unique colors that American Apparel has to offer.
Skateboard Boy ($12) by YemaYema is available at Tilteed only until Noon PDT on Wednesday, October 20. Be sure to get yours before this boy skates away, never to return again!
Threadless is celebrating its 10 year anniversary today with a hot new sale! All tees have been marked down to $10 and hoodies are on sale for $30 until Thursday, October 14 at 10am CT. Now’s your chance to pick up all your favorites at low prices in celebration of the anniversary!
I seriously can’t believe that it has been that long, but I’m so happy to see where the company is now. It seems like only yesterday that I discovered Threadless. Back in 2005, the site looked much different, but the designs were still just as great. I remember the first design that caught my eye was Strangers With Candy by Ryan Smith. I also remember that the guys t-shirts used to be printed on Fruit of the Loom blanks. Just that alone tells us how far the art t-shirt industry has come, since pretty much every brand prints on soft ringspun cotton these days (and I’m definitely not complaining!). While the guys shirts were printed on FOTL, the girls shirts were printed on American Apparel. Oh, the days of wondering why both shirt styles weren’t printed on soft American Apparel…
But anyways, what I really want to say is happy 10 year anniversary, Threadless! You’ve been an amazing creative force in the tee industry, and I thank you for letting us see just how great the graphic t-shirt world can be. Allowing user input and creating a warm and welcoming community for t-shirt and art fans was brilliant. I hope that I will see the company doing even bigger and better things in 10 years!
Regan Smith Clarke has just released its second full line with six new products! These new item follow in the footsteps of the items from the previous line in terms of design aesthetics, but this time around, the designs are more typography based. The new products complement the first line very well, with the two lines balancing each other out with their color and composition. I personally love the clean, simple look that this brand is going after, and I think that Regan is doing a great job of creating a very cohesive brand.
This new line features shirts that can be worn to any casual occasion. They can be dressed up or down because none of them are too bold or colorful, and I think this is a real advantage that RSC products have. My favorite design out of this line is Old Inventions, and both the short sleeve and long sleeve colorways look great. The contemporary, yet vintage feel of the design definitely draws me in!
All of the new short sleeve shirts are available for $24, while the long sleeve is priced at $28. Along with these new t-shirts, there’s also a tote bag, a first for RSC. Take a look around the Regan Smith Clarke shop and pick up some fresh Fall items today. If you spend over $50 in the shop, you’ll be able to take advantage of the free shipping deal for domestic orders!
What began as an illustration of Doctor Strange eventually turned into a more mystical composition. Sorcerer ($12) by Jorge Garza (Qetza) is a beautiful piece now available as a Tilteed Limited design. As you can see, the design brings in Egyptian influences, ranging from the hieroglyphics to the symbolism with the fox and falcon. Since Doctor Strange was a powerful magician, this design is a great tribute to this Marvel Comics character! From the design down to the color selection, Qetza has done a great job with this illustration! I think that this is most likely unintentional, but I’m seeing a glimpse of Darth Vader or a samurai when I step back and look at the design. If you see it too, then this shirt may be a subtle way to share your love for either if you’re looking for something a bit different! Art is in the eye of the beholder, after all. So if you want it to be a Vader or samurai tee, then it can be just that. It’s also a pretty sweet skull t-shirt, if you ask me!
Sorcerer ($12) is on sale at Tilteed from until Noon PDT on Friday, October 8. Be sure to read the interview that Tilteed curator Adder had with Qetza while you’re checking out the t-shirt. It’s a great read!
Threadless has recently announced the release of their new Select line, featuring higher quality products in new styles. What makes these new Threadless Select products special is that they are printed with water-based inks on finer cotton. Some of the items are even printed on organic cotton! Unfortunately, this does mean that the prices have been upped. I personally think that these products look a lot classier than the normal Threadless shirts, though, so it’s a trade-off. The colors are more muted and the designs aren’t as bold as they normally are, but this is perfect for the more simplified look.
The men’s styles include cleaner looking crewneck t-shirts to v-neck shirts, while the women’s styles range from tank tops and dresses, to hooded v-necks and tunics. Just from looking at these Select products, you can see a remarkable difference between them and their normal t-shirt counterparts. Threadless has definitely stepped up their game with these new offerings, and they have opened up a lot of doors for people who want dressier styles for those slightly less casual days. The ladies are very lucky, as they have many more styles to choose from!
There are 8 new items for men, and 16 new items for women. These Select products are currently priced at $35 and $40. Definitely head over to Threadless to see the new line and pick up a refreshing new product today!
Say hello to the hippest deer to stop by Tilteed! Matt Borchert (ovenrude) has turned an ordinary deer into something much cooler in his design titled Deer en Vogue ($12). This deer is so cool that it doesn’t even need a nice pair of shades to be hip, or an outfit for that matter. The addition of triangles and sharp arrows works very well with the deer, too. The contrast between the antlers and the triangles makes the design very striking and bold. I simply wouldn’t have this deer any other way!Along with creating awesome t-shirt illustrations, Matt is also a great interviewee. Here’s a snippet from the interview that you can find on the Deer en Vogue product page:
“Who’s your favorite superhero of all time? What makes them so cool?
This is a tough one… does Arnold Schwarzenegger count at a superhero? Or Dexter? I’m going to pick Rocky, and not the one that hangs around a moose, but the one who defeated Soviet Russia’s top fighter. Rocky not only worked hard to achieve his superhuman abilities (let’s face it… Dolph Lundgren (the Russian) would have crushed him if he were not a superhero), but he also gave back to those around him and purchased a pretty slick jacket with a tiger on the back.”
You can purchase your copy of Deer en Vogue at Tilteed for just $12 until Noon PDT on Tuesday, October 5th. After that, this hip deer is gone for good!
A simple design is always interesting to be displayed along, especially with a shirt, or printed in a shirt. Therefore many t-shirt companies have their own simple design to complete their collection. And Confound Your Friends is one of those clothing companies who have a simple design. The Howling Wolf tee (£13.99) is the proof. This wolf tee has a very simple design and a very simple background of making that design: because everybody wants a wolf. This tee is designed by Holly Ringsell a talented young illustrator and photographer from the South East of England. This design is screen printed onto Fruit of the Loom, 100% cotton t-shirts.
Confound Your Friends is a new clothing line based in Essex. It is initiated by three young men who have previously brought together by music. But when the music was drowning, so they created a business where the sky is the limit. Time is taken with every decision in a bid to provide you with the best clothes possible, and thus make Confound the best company possible.
But Confound Your Friends is not a common clothing line. They invite you to participate in raising Confound Your Friends, that is by becoming their designer. They are always on the look out for independent artists to work with them to create new designs and product lines. If this is something of interest to you, or might be to someone you know, it would be great to hear from you!
Interesting, isn’t it? You can design your own tee then Confound Your Friends will print it in a shirt with a good quality, and you can buy!

Anti-tobacco campaign has been invoked since five years ago. The campaign is about the dangers of tobacco for our lungs. Even smoke is also harmful to our health, that’s why second-hand smoke is more dangerous than active smokers. However, it seems smokers have not also understand the dangers of tobacco to the lung.
That’s why Savedsoul launched a shirt that aims to remind the dangers of tobacco, especially to smokers. Here’s Smoking Kills tee ($ 37) that warn about the dangers of smoking through a shirt. This black-red colored tee is made from 100% cotton. And the coolest thing if you buy this tee is that 25% of the profits will be given to American Lung Association, automatically!
Through the American Lung Association, you can help people who are already affected by lung disease, or help prevent the spread of lung disease through donation or get involved directly. Isn’t that interesting?
Savedsoul was created to give inspiration through art and to give exposure to other artists and their work. SavedSoul has teamed up with many non-profit organizations and causes. They will give a percentage of profits gained through this site and outside this site, to the organizations and causes that really make a difference in the lives, families, and communities we live in. SavedSoul believe that people can make a difference and change through art, they believe in giving back to important causes like poverty, to those that are struggling to make it, and really need life and hope, they want to give that hope, they want to literally save souls.
