August 2012 marked the fiftieth anniversary of Ringo Starr joining The Beatles, and therefore the formation of the band proper. The Beatles are the best-selling english work band in history, formed in Liverpool in 1960. The Beatles don’t mean anything to the young people now, but they are still nowadays some people’s all-time favorite band. They are still my Fab Four, just like what this tee is trying to say.

The Ropeadope Winter 2010 Line is Here!

The Ropeadope Design Collective has recently released its second t-shirt series and this new set doesn’t disappoint! If you aren’t familiar with Ropeadope, it’s a record label based in Philadelphia, PA. Earlier this year, Ropeadope entered into the world of art t-shirts, releasing tees by designers like Wotto and Tang Yau Hoong. Wotto is back for this new Winter 2010 collection, but this time, there are plenty of fresh faces! The new lineup includes artwork from YemaYema, David Murray/SEIBEI, BootsBoots, Qetza, Harry Gordon, and Mike Friedrich.

Like the past line, only some of the new Ropeadope Design Collective t-shirts are music-related. I kind of wish that they all had something to do with music, being linked with a record label and all, but that’s just my opinion. I personally love the Discowl shirt, both because of the design itself and the colors. The green details really pop out against the purple background. Besides, where else are you going to find a three-eyed owl who enjoys electronic music?

When Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen Get On to Your Tees

Everybody knows Bob Dylan. He has been known for five decades, and I love his songs that talk about social critique, anti-war, and civil rights. He is an artist and a social fighter as well. Bob’s greatness is that he is able to apply all kinds of music nicely into his songs. How can’t we love him?

And if you adore Bob, then you should adore this guy as well. He is Bruce Springsteen. Do you remember him? This guitarist, in addition to his musical prowess, he has also a generous nature. He participated in the project “We Are The World” by USA for Africa, and Antipartheid Sun City project. His songs are always specials because they are created with love and they have a very strong element of American culture. Very clearly seen that both have exceptional musical character. I miss on their songs now.

Jordan Buckley’s Pumpkin ’09: Halloween Pumpkin gets Drawn!

Drawing is a lovely activity. Everyone is doing it — from little kids, art students to experienced artists and professionals (like architects and engineers) — either when we need to get serious works done or doing something fun like sketches in the margins of their notebooks just to kill some times.

However,a clothing label like Draw Ltd. takes drawing-awesomeness to the next level. From its perspective, all drawings are art and thus all of them should get their moment in the sun. It’s certainly true that drawing, being less polished than most modern-digital art, can be incredibly remarkable (when artists’ magic hands involved!).
