It’s been a while since I featured tee shirts from one of the most crowded ongoing tee shirt design competition on the internet, Design by Humans (DBH). I can talk about their new tees every week because of two things: one, these designs have been tightly selected by DBH competitive contest (almost comparable to Threadless to some extent); two, these designs are simply outstanding when it comes to experimental, cutting-edge graphic tee shirts! But I need to look for other tee labels too, giving too much attention to DBH might not be healthy for us

Birds of Prey by koivo from Saint-Petersburg.
Illustrate the beauty, elegance and mystery of the flying animal, the birds (I suspect, in particular, an eagle). The silver/yellow-on-black T-shirt design has nice background texture featuring diamonds, emperor crown, fractal and desintegrated triangles — all combined with great color scheme. *image below

Hyena Boy and Deaths LunchBoxby MrRocks from Wellington, New Zealand.
Does a little children be afraid of a monstreous-looking hyena? Not in MrRocks imagination. In his words the random, progressive sketch, intensified with a scary wild hyena after the some positive feedbacks he got the last time he drew some. *image below

Legendary Surfer by mathiole from Brazil.
Watching this design makes me think… who actually started surfing sport? Did the locals at Kealakekua Bay on the Kona coast of the Big Island (as discovered by Lieutenant James King) invent the water-sport? Are they inspired by Legendary surfer who ride the giant Koi? *image below

A Tale Of Two Lovers… by Oddeti from Myrtle Beach, SC.
Geisha is about beautyness like sakura flowers … sadly, that doesn’t always mean happiness. Oddetti’s design follows a story of a geisha desperately waiting for her lover to come home from fighting in a war. Each tee color represents a different time of day as she patiently waits. (yellow means “sunrise”, white is “noon” and black represents “sunset”). *image below

With mixed medium of colored pencil and water color, tealesm makes the best of illustration of the exoskeletons or widely known as “shells”. I’m not a fan of this tee shirt, but I can’t disagree knowing some people like it for the simplicity and meaningful design. *image below
