Say you have a great idea for a t-shirt. But, you don’t have money as upfront costs to have a printer create that shirt. But you can design your tee shirt on the Teespring site.

Huh? Why, you asked? Teespring is a site that helped you to crowdfunding your design. It’s clearly helping you out without spends a large money to buy printer and not much rivalry like Threadless or Design by Humans to get printed.

What do the brands MUJI, AGFA, SAAB, IBM, Oral B, BMW, Staples, Kawasaki and Panasonic have in common? Their logos are all designed in the Helvetica typeface, which can be seen virtually everywhere: in print, on the web, in the news and even in the movies (you know, there is a moviel titled Helvetica. A must see!). Since its release in 1957, Helvetica has steadily been one of the most popular typefaces.

Think of the 60’s era and its advertising. What comes to mind? Style? Slick designs? Clean lines? That’s due in large part to Max Miedinger and his Helvetica font design.

Social + T-shirt, Is This the Latest Hype?

I found WearingSocial a couple of months ago and just recently someone told me another similar service called SocialWear. But what they do exactly? They’re very similar with print-on-demand services such as Cafepress, Zazzle or Spreadshirt with add-on service: getting photos from your social network i.e Facebook

In a very simple explanation: The service help you grab photos from your Facebook and let you “design” how it will look on T-shirt (with pre-defined template) and print it for you — all with couple of clicks online.
