PHENÜM is proud to announce this collaboration with the collective BREST BREST BREST. A black and white photograph or Robert R. Gilruth — the NASA’s Manned Spacecraft Center Director — disfigured with an egg. Designed by Rémy Poncet, Arnaud Jarsaillon, and François Gaillard, the egg has Trompe-l’œil style, which create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions.
Fred Quemener created Hellbound, a complex artwork of disfigured face vectorized by interlocking cuts graphics. The graphic shows interplay between mystical iconography of the stained glass and layered textures and hybrid silhouettes. It also confronts several paradigms for questioning outside the imaginary spectrum. Confused? Don’t be (because I am!). Just enjoy the artwork by wearing it in screen printed tee shirt — only 50 pieces sold at Phenum.
