Star Wars Day is one of my favorite days of the year, but not just for the obvious reasons, it’s the worldwide day to say “May the Force be with you” to all, and celebrate the beloved Star Wars story that binds our galaxy together. Of course you know this song. This was one of the very last songs Lennon and McCartney sat and wrote together. And of course this was not about drugs! This was about trampolines! Einstenium
Do you know that the word “Einstenium” is not some science parody mash-up? Einsteinium was discovered as a component of the debris of the first hydrogen bomb explosion in 1952. Too bad, for security reasons, these observations in late 1952 and early 1953 could not be published in the open literature. But the full story of the discovery of elements 99 and 100 was finally published in mid-1955 by a group of authors of the laboratories involved. And yes, the elements 99 was named after the genius, Albert Einstein. What a new information right? Coffee Intravenous for chronic pain
As I began to tune into my body and provide it with what it really wanted, a fresh black with-sugar-free-vanilla-caramel-powdered-creamer coffee (Oh yes, you found me guilty!) Even a Cactus Need a Hug
You know, sometimes the world seems like a pretty mean place. Even your loved one can seem so mean to you. But if you’re angry at your loved one, hug that person. And mean it. Because it is hard to stay angry when someone shows they love you, and that’s what people do who love you.
They put their arms around you and love you when you’re not so lovable. And millions and millions of years would still not give enough time to describe that tiny instant of all eternity when your loved one wrap you back when you put your arms around her/him. Well, have you hug your loved one today? You should have one. Because, even a cactus need a hugz.
Back in My Day, We Had 9 planets
Well the Solar System I knew back then had 9 planets (Pluto was still a planet then) and of the moons Earth had one, Mars two, Jupiter 12, Saturn 9, Uranus 5 and Neptune 2 , totaling 31 (Jupiter and Saturn alone now have almost that total number each). Then in 2006 this changed, Pluto got demoted and now, as this tee shirt suggest: there are only eight planets.
To understand why Pluto isn’t a planet, perhaps it helps if we define what the term planet means. The expression goes back to ancient times and comes from the Greek word for “wandering star.” Because the planets are bodies that move in orbit around the sun, they do not stay in a fixed location in the sky in relation to the stars.
