Barnabus the Bear

I can’t remember the last time I was at a circus, maybe it was around twenty years ago. My father brought me to… I can’t remember which one it was, I remember the smell of fresh dirt and popcorn though. There were the bear riding in bicycle. And so, some circus nostalgia hit me when I’m looking at this threadless design by opifan64. It’s so cute and casts a nostalgic look back to periods when the circus arrived in my city. Well, those were the days when nobody batted an eyelid about the use of animals in the circus and I kinda miss those amazing performances and slapstick comedy.

In the streets of a large city in new york, Spiderman would find something to beat Venom with, but in an arena with no other things to help Spiderman, Venom winds no doubt beat his ass into the ground. But the Symbiote is still “in love” with Peter and so it won’t kill him. Venom and Spiderman are one in the same to an extent. One can’t exist without the other. So there is nothing cooler than the battle between Venom and Spidey! Don’t you agree?

Aled Lewis, Get Your Giggle On!

Aled is a London-based illustrator who has been bringing the witty and the cute for awhile now via tees and prints. He is a life-long gamer, influenced and inspired by comics, film and television. And his drawing on graphic design, pop and geek culture is in prankish postmodernism and childlike, fantastical images. He’s been a household name on Threadless.com for a number of years, and his computer-game inspired artwork has been featured on the New York Times website, exhibited around the world and, of course, most recently used by Playstation. He is very creative, different, and just hilarious in the best kind of way. I really want to keep going on about this guy because his subtle but clever way of taking very ordinary landscape or city shots and turning them into perfect backdrops for his 8-bit characters has been making me giggle.

The only problem with the work of London-based designer and illustrator Aled Lewis is that I don’t have the room to highlight all of it. Well check out his website and get your giggle on!

He is immortal, defeated a Balrog for 2 days and 2 nights on the peak of Zirak-Zigil (A Balrog is a corrupted Maiar, and it takes huge amount of power to destroy one), and single-handedly defeated all nine of the nazguls on weathertop by summoning fire and lightning for a FULL NIGHT!
