“House Brawl” tee shirt, designed in collaboration between by Alex Solis and Alice X. Zhang was inspired by Harry Potter. Each animal symbolizes the houses of Hogwarts; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
It’s designed for the fans, and kind of reminds me of sorting hat. Wear this shirt, and let the shirt chose, in which house you belongs to.
For each of the four founders had
A house in which they might
Take only those they wanted, so
Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned
~ Romans 5:12
This is The Sin by Enkel Dika aka buko, a design about eve and forbidden fruit portraying image of serpent, reminding us the story about God that gave Adam and Eve only one prohibition in His instructions, and when we choose to obey our own wills instead of His perfect and holy will, things never go well for us. Adam and Eve made that sad discovery after eating the forbidden fruit, and mankind has suffered the consequences of their decision ever since.
The tees which you are about to see is an account of the tragedy in new moon. It is all the more tragic in that astronaut were young. But had he lived very, very long lives, he could not have expected, nor would he has wished to see as much of the mad and macabre as he was to see that day.
For him, an idyllic summer afternoon became a nightmare. Yet none of the evidence was more compelling than the classified footage of the crime-scene walk-through. The events of that day were to lead to the discovery of one of the most bizarre crimes in the annals of American history, Texas Chain Saw Astronaut: New Moon.
It’s the Year of the Bat. And Treadless, teaming up with Bat Conservation International, raising funds in hope of preserving the worlds bat population.
This mash up T-shirt called Starry Nightmare is created by (Threadless username) NightWatcher — combining the famous-Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh and the character Jack Skellington, creates the perfect representation of Jack’s agony, who discovers the magical world of Christmas town, in battling over the anxiety that comes with the thought of him interacting with the elves and Santa in the Christmas world, adding a dash of Halloween scare to all that holiday cheer.
As he says through the night:
Chemistry is a subject that requires a lot of time and works, everybody knows that. When I was in school, I was a little worried about math and science even if a lot of people believe that chemistry is the most fun subject yet in reality I found it to be most difficult subject in school.
I used to feel like a greatest scientist, then mix lemonade mixes (citric acid) and baking soda in “just the right” amounts, suddenly I can make a fizzy mix! Don’t forget about optimizing soap and water to be soap bubble. Yay, who doesn’t like soap bubble! But not all teachers can teach chemistry in fun way, so unfortunately (or fortunately?) — I didn’t choose chemistry as my major.
Really, does anything else in any way shape or form mix style, class, and the undead as this iconic image? It’s a great repurposing of the iconic Audrey Hepburn image from Breakfast at Tiffany’s into something suitably gruesome.
Holly Golightly: Thursday! It can’t be! It’s too gruesome!
Paul Varjak: What’s so gruesome about Thursday?
Holly Golightly: Nothing, except I can never remember when it’s coming up.
I’m surprisingly impressed by how well this looks at what Ms. Hepburn will look like when the dead return to roam the earth during the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse. The guy’s tee is good, but it looks great on a woman too, you can see it on a female model below.
This was an illustration of Doctor Facilier: Casting Shadows by Bert Segunial a.k.a b3ef, an illustrator from Philippines which lived in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Doctor Facilier, a.k.a the Shadow Man, is the main villain in The Princess and the Frog and he personifies the Deadly Sin of Greed and Gluttony, for his desire for money and power. Facilier is a smooth-talker of drama and showmanship, and a glutton for power. Facilier controlling and vindictive, doing whatever he can to get what he wants. Facilier’s shadow acts as a familiar and is capable of moving on its own, being able to separate itself from him for a short while as well as changing its shape and size.
It started in 1988, John Lasseter – co-founder of Pixar and former Walt Disney animator – and Pixar wrote, produced and directed a short film called Tin Toy.
This was the fourth Pixar film to be made using only computer animation and it won the 1988 Academy Award for Animated Short Film. In the 90s, Disney approached John Lasseter to create a sequel to Tin Toy, a Christmas special. Pixar, thinking 6 minutes wasn’t enough, asked Disney if they could make it 30 minutes. When President of Walt Disney Studios Peter Schneider heard about this, he suggested they make it full-length instead. Many of the employees at Pixar were surprised. And kids, that was the story how Toy Story was made.
Things should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler.
I think that’s absolutely right for Threadless to start competition with a single theme: “simple” — in an undebatable purpose, to uncomplicate things. The design competition required only bold colors to make the simplest design we can and maximum of 3 colors — regardless of your design: clever, funny, or just plain pretty.
Two Side T-shirt by R. Gegen Noviara (a.k.a Digital Orgasm) from Indonesia is the chosen design for “Threadless Loves Simple” design challenge, a simply pretty and clever design of umbrella and rain, which has silhouette of cityscape and skylines at night. Simple and pretty — that’s more than enough.
Clark Kent, he’s quickly going into this phone booth and off with these clothes… “THIS IS A JOB FOOOOR…!!”
Uhm, Superman, before you zooms off, please make sure that you are still in Clark Kent appearance otherwise it can be superFAILED as you see on this hilarious, retro-comics design tee. Oh, don’t worry for you guys, Kerry Callen makes a superwoman version also.
Well, Karen Hallion (on her recently printed Threadless tee shirt) might be playing as Cinderella’s fairy Godmother, bestows upon Cinderella a blue dress with glass slippers.
But instead going to the hall, this tee shirt illustrated how Cinderella choose to runaway with The Doctor, an eccentric alien traveller of great intelligence who battled injustice while exploring time and space in the “TARDIS” — a famous time machine from a classical BBC series, Doctor Who (first appear in 1963, if you notice) which around that time Cinderella, one of representative of classic Walt Disney’s character, was born. The brilliant thing behind this design is how Karen collades the two worlds of fantasy.
Exciting news from Design by Humans. As on the biggest Threadless competitor, it’s launching DBH Collective Exclusive, which apparently, following Threadless recent move to offer Threadless Artist Shops (so-called Threadless “Made”).
So what’s this DBH Collective Exclusive? It’s a collection of DTG-printed tees by some of the site’s most well-known, most loved (anything you want to call it) and in-demand artists and a new way for consumers to purchase and customize graphic tees from the industry’s top apparel designers.
What’s the next step after air guitar? It’s space guitar!!!
This tee kind of reminds me of NASA Astronaut Ronald J. Garan, Jr. (or Ron Garan), a crew member on expedition 27/28. Because of his return to Earth from the International Space Station might be delayed for possibly up to two months, he sings the blues from the Soyuz TMA-21 Spacecraft. Anyway, Ron, Andrey and Sasha safely returned to Earth on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011.
And perhaps, Ron’s guitar pick has inspired the Draco (Lonely Man T-shirt), Florent Bocognani (Spaceman Rock) and Mohamad Esmaeilian (Solo in Space) that came up with Threadless’ awesomeness like these:
You all, my readers, are Wanderlusters! That’s what I thought when I saw Threadless’ gift guide for the Wanderlusters. I mean, it’s been amazing year with all exciting things happened to me as run this blog: I got new blog theme and logo for cottonable, reviewed so many tee shirts and brands but the most important thing to me is unforgettably countless of new people whom I met in person or via email.
Well, I don’t if Threadless know has this dude (calling himself) Ten Buck Tony. Whatever name he got, he actually brings good news for the rest of us. The announcement made was $10 tees and tanks; 20% off hoodies; FREE $0 shipping if you spend $75; and lastly, seriously cheap $6 international shipping if you spend $75. The promo is happening for only for 30+ hours (since this posting was published, but it was originally 48 hours sale).
Don’t care how annoying this Ten Tony Buck, but the sale is unavoidable! I’m not really enjoying the fact that Threadless gives this kind of slashed-price-moment too often. I want to see their tees exclusive, but well… threadless is mainstream now, anyway.
Regardless of how huge Threadless have become today, how hard Shirt.Woot, Design by Humans and La Fraise is catching up with the rest of similar crowsourcing-format, there is always a room for a new entity to create competition between best tee shirt graphic designers to chase for the prizes.
I’m not a stranger to 604Republic as tee shirt label but love to say welcome to 604Republic in this field. Having an awesome geek-ish, pop-culture tee shirts collection on board and $500 to start with, I believe 604Republic could be an awesome hangout place for talented designers while showing off their artworks.

Maybe you often experience this: confused to choose between the t-shirt and hoodie. Hey! Why don’t you select both at once? I mean, buy a tee-hoodie! Threadless released their latest collection called Select. Threadless Select is a premium line of clothing designed by their community and curated by Threadless Crew itself.
And this is what we call style, a mix tee with a hoodie that is really cool! Go check this Birds of a Feather Tee ($ 40.00).
T-shirts are specially created for girls with v-neck model that makes the neck look long and sexy, but with the touch of a man which lies in the hoodie in the back side of the jersey.
This tee tells us about how happy the birds can be if we don’t disturb their ecosystems. They should feel free to fly like a flying fur. So this is an eco hooded v-neck. This tee is blend of organic cotton, recycled polyester and rayon, low impact dyed, fits true to size. We all know that Threadless is a community that print designers’ work into a T-shirt. And this time, they offer their best design.
Select has different design than the other tee’s design. Select is printed with water-based inks, to be softer and eco-friendlier. Made with premium materials, like pima and organic cotton.
Why don’t you select this eco hooded-tee? You’ll help the birds to fly happily.
If you missed the last Threadless sale, you’re in luck because there’s another small sale. The Threadless 2 Weeks of Terror Sale kicked off earlier this week, with all scary tees marked down to just 10 bucks! The selection includes several great reprints, along with some new designs perfect for your Halloween celebration. One of my favorite reprints is Zombies in Wonderland ($10) by Alice Zhang and Donald Lim, in which Alice is kicking butt like you wouldn’t believe. A new release that I love is A Day in the Life ($10) by Anna-Maria Jung. This shirt isn’t scary at all, but it does have Godzilla, so I guess that it’s slightly frightening by association. Nonetheless, The design is cute and charming and I am a fan!And if that weren’t enough, Threadless also has a Trick or Tee promotion, where you can get a mystery t-shirt for just $5! There’s something about mystery tees that most of us cannot resist. It could be the way they’re priced cheaper than normal t-shirts, or the fact that we’ll never know exactly what we will be receiving in the mail. Either way, the experience is rather enjoyable. It’s even better knowing that the designs that you could get are beautiful works of art by some of the biggest names in the graphic t-shirt world. What are you waiting for? Go get your favorite scary shirts over at Threadless while they’re only $10, and pick up a few $5 mystery tees while you’re at it!
