Their style is heavily inspired by everything coming out of Japan from its cute pop icons to its terrifying horror movies. The name Akumu is Japanese for nightmare. They love the concept of creating hand drawn images based on their nightmares. They focus their theme around darker subject matter even when sometimes it’s done with a cute twist.
