The Adventures of Tintin (Les Aventures de Tintin) by Steven Spielberg is a must-watch movie before you meet the end if this year. Lots of surprising actions, amazing scenes and some exceptional moves (and quotes) by Tintin and Mr Haddock — don’t forget Snowy! So glad that the movie has hit Indonesia earlier this month, faster than some countries in region.

Talking about the story, it carefully adapts the classic comic books (by Georges Rémi a.k.a Herge) without letting us guess what will happen next on each scene — even if you’ve read all the Tintin comics.

The tsunami that hit Japan on March 11 really made all of us shocked. So far, we do recognize Japan as a country with frequent earthquakes. But the tsunami, was really unexpected. There are more than 21,000 dead and missing victims. And the worse thing is the Fukushima Nuclear accident is very worrying. Even though that accident wouldn’t like Chernobyl, but we must remain cautious.

Regan Smith Clarke Releases Fall 2010 Collection

Regan Smith Clarke has just released its second full line with six new products! They can be dressed up or down because none of them are too bold or colorful, and I think this is a real advantage that RSC products have. My favorite design out of this line is Old Inventions, and both the short sleeve and long sleeve colorways look great. The contemporary, yet vintage feel of the design definitely draws me in!

Minimalist Superheroes

Finally, this shirt has been printed at Threadless! Like many other voters, I have been waiting to see Super Heroic Minimalism ($18) by Biotwist see the light of day on a t-shirt. Unfortunately, one of the major characters is missing. Can you guess who? If you guessed Batman, then you are correct. I believe Threadless didn’t want to run into legal issues, so they passed on the mimimalist Batman. Luckily, that didn’t stop them from picking up the two other heroes. And for this, I am very happy this Monday morning!Minimalism, Jonah Block, Biotwist, Threadless, Spiderman, Iron Man, comicsWhile the illustrations are simple, you know right away which superheroes they refer to. I love how the design does not need plus signs for it to be successful in conveying that the red guys on the left turn into the heroes on the right when introduced to the middle variables. Now that I think about it, the design may actually work better with just Spiderman and Iron Man, since both characters start out the exact same. It’s a very clever and effective design!

Fall Guy Gus Takes the Ride of His Life!

For the next 72 hours at Tilteed, Gimetzco! brings us a poster-themed design for a once in a lifetime event. …vs Komodo Canyon! For those of us who weren’t lucky enough to catch the event twenty years back, we now have the chance to pick up a little piece of fictional history.

The colorway of this piece actually reminds me of the delicious citrusy drink known as Mountain Dew. I can definitely pair this high energy soda with Fall Guy Gus. I’m sure he drank a bunch of it to get a major sugar rush before attempting his wild bike stunts. This t-shirt is just so full of intense energy and perfect if you need that extra boost in the morning or want to add a big kick  to your otherwise ordinary day. The design has a wonderful comic book feel to it too, which translates to another major plus in my book.

Although Fall Guy Gus is now retired, he’ll forever be in our hearts as one of the best motorbike stunt riders on this planet. Now that he’s no longer doing crazy stunts for a living, some say that he’s spending his days in a little cottage in the woods, enjoying some long awaited relaxation. I have a feeling he’s picked up a new hobby and just stayed low-key about it. Once an adrenaline junkie, always an adrenaline junkie!

Joshua Kemble’s Vintage Pretension: Utilizing a Vaster Knowledge

Go Ape has just released their new line, a vintage tee by Joshua Kemble who tells a story about pretension which has been around us since the first. Some regard it as pressure, there is also considered as a trigger.

It is shown on the design of Pretension Vintage ($ 18.00) which is written “Utilizing a vaster knowledge of fine music, art, and literature to humilitate the common man”. It became obvious that in antiquity, vast knowledge of art, music and literature will make someonelook more superior than people who do not have such knowledge.

This vintage shirt is designed by Joshua Kemble, a freelance illustrator based on Oregon. He’s a Xeric Award winning freelance illustrator/cartoonist who’s done work for clients ranging from Nada Surf to Merrill Lynch. He’s currently working on a Graphic Novel for NBM Publishing, and his last comic numb, is available in it’s second printing, from his website. Even he has won several times a Threadless competition.

Unfortunately, the print shop that is used by Go Ape still continued to print this shirt on girls’ sizes, even though the print was a bit too big. Therefore, some of the girls’ shirts may have some or all of the bottom text missing. Girls’ shirts will be $10 instead of $18.

The first time I see this Mr Typeface tee (£15) I thought, “He must be handsome, classy, and a great poetry writer!” Just look at his vest and the way he hold himself together!
